Taking a Virtual Stroll Through MoMA |
Art Project, a wonderful new website by Google, brings some of the greatest museums in the world to you. Roam the galleries and museum halls, look around and zoom in on the paintings, even closer than you can see with the naked eye.
Amit Sood, a developer at Google, presented this amazing application at TED on March 1st. Soon thereafter, Google released this blog post. His presentation was heartfelt and the results of Amit and his team's work is beautiful, a true gift.
The site also allows you to curate your own museum. I am going to be exploring that soon and will be sure to post a link to my gallery. I will definitely be "shopping" at Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum and MoMA for pieces for my collection.
If you decide to curate a collection, please post a link for us to visit!
